About the Founder

Dr. Ann Demarais, the founder of First Impressions, has more than15 years of experience in applied psychology, specializing in interpersonal communication, impression management, social skills, leadership, and executive coaching. She has coached at all levels of organizations, from CEO to star individual contributors. In addition to her work in the business world, she is a consultant to the Social Intelligence Program at Columbia University Business School, and has been an invited speaker at conferences at Columbia University, New York University, 92nd Street Y, and the Omega Institute. Ann holds a Ph.D. in Psychology from New York University.
