First Impressions, Inc., was founded in 1997 and is based in New York City with an office in California. The company provides a unique service to individuals interested in learning more about themselves and gaining insight as to how others see them. First Impressions helps illuminate the links between specific behaviors and how these behaviors make others think and feel, so that clients may send the messages they intend, and not messages they don't. First Impressions helps clients learn about the impression they make in business and social/dating situations, business settings and job interviews. All consultants have a Ph.D. or advanced degree in Psychology and years of experience in behavioral observation and providing supportive and constructive feedback.

About the Founder of First Impressions

Dr. Ann Demarais is the founder of First Impressions, Inc. She has over 14 years of experience in applied psychology, specializing in interpersonal communication, leadership, and executive coaching. She works with individuals and groups in Fortune 100 companies in a variety of industries including technology, media, finance, and pharmaceuticals. She has coached at all levels of organizations, including SVPs, directors, first- and second-level managers, and star individual contributors. Her coaching emphasis has been working with leaders on business skills including leadership, strategic thinking, and change management. Her most recent coaching work has been with global managers to maximize their effectiveness with multicultural remote teams. Dr. Demarais received her Ph.D. in psychology from New York University.
